Role Tailored Client Support is a feature much requested. And I am looking into it. But do you really need it for CodeGenius Studio as it is now?
The answer is plain and simple: NO! Here on Waldo's blog you can read a solution on how to use it with CodeGenius Studio right now!
I understand it costs a bit more work and might not be so easy to use, but the functionality is there.
Now I have a question for you: what are you missing in CodeGenius Studio?
I am looking for users that have some cool ideas. Please give me your ideas, because without any really cool ideas CodeGenius Studio simply won't grow as it has in the past.

It's been a while since my last post. I have been very busy. I'm trying to get some things done here with CodeGenius Studio. My new version will introduce Import, Export, Compile and Merging from within Microsoft Dynamics NAV using CodeGenius Studio.
Can you imagine what is all possible with this extension?
CodeGenius Studio will then start to do more than ever before. With new features in coming versions already planned you can get your code base finally to go professional.

Great things are happening. Microsoft just released Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 and I am pleased to say that the Classic CSide Client works perfectly with CodeGenius Studio 4.0. That is great news! Now, of course I know it would be great if CodeGenius Studio would also be able to configure the Role Tailored Client. That will come. Probably next year I will introduce the new client type with CodeGenius Studio.
Now CodeGenius Studio is undergoing more changes. Firstly the sharing of Templates. This remains a challenge. I want to make it easy, but useful. It should not become a stand in the way. I therefore am not quite sure how I will achieve this yet. When I have more details on the subject I will get back to you. Please hold on! It really is coming!
As most of you know, CodeGenius Studio comes with CodeSmart. This code completion extension for C/AL has been available since version 2 of CodeGenius. However, it never could analyse code real time and suggest global and local variables. Hopefully this will come to an end soon. I am currently attempting to find a way to do this. So CodeSmart may become even smarter. I will keep you posted!
So far for now. It's been kind of hectic these last few weeks. However, I will keep you posted.

I have invested quite some time in selecting a CMS tool to get the most out of the web site. I think it really turned out very well. I personally like the way this new web site looks and I think it's a really good improvement.
Hopefully you all agree...
Most development work on CodeGenius Studio was on hold as I was selecting and implementing the new web site. Also a job change has put development on CodeGenius Studio hold for a while. Hopefully within the next few weeks I will continue development and release the next version of CodeGenius Studio. This will be a hotfix which will fix some minor issues that users have logged.

I have been busy with many things these past few months. I have been fixing bugs and restructuring CodeGenius Studio so it can become a tool that can be used company wide. By sharing templates, codesmart, configurations, and third party tools you can then set up a company wide policy regarding coding standards and distributing these items across the company.
I have also been implementing a new website. I wasn't very happy with the previous CMS I was using so I went looking for a new one. I hope you like it. I sure do.
